Our Founder

Derek Hosler is the founder and Principle of Hosler Project Management. His love for architecture, design, and effective project management can be traced back to his job framing houses as a teenager. Decades later, having managed single projects valued at up to $40M for clients as diverse as Hyatt, O'Hare Airport, Axiom Law, and Heartland Community College in 11 different states, Derek founded HPM.

Derek’s work ethic, past professional experiences and passion for excellence continue to serve clients well. He is particularly sought out for his ability to mitigate risks, reduce unnecessary costs, provide a single source of communication for all vendor partnerships, and be a strong problem solving partner. His previous jobs, as an architect, hvac contractor, and corporate construction management professional, have all contributed to the unique results Derek now delivers with HPM.

When he is not at work, Derek is usually found biking, woodworking, chasing the golf ball, or just doing anything and everything with his kids in the suburbs of Chicago.
